Coronavirus: We’re Here For You

We appreciate your ongoing patience and cooperation as we work together to envision and prudently return to a “new normal”. Our team remains committed to prioritizing the health and well-being of our community and has implemented a number of protocols that ensure our residents, future residents, and valued team members are safe and supported during these uncertain times.

Office Hours

We are open Monday – Friday, from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, by appointment only. We encourage you to call, email, visit our website, and get updates through our Facebook page and our Resident Portal.

To ensure the safety of all staff and residents for in-person interactions, all Harbor Bay employees are screened prior to starting their shift each day, are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and are required to practice social distancing guidelines while on duty.

Maintenance

Harbor Bay at MacDill will begin responding to routine service requests as of June 29, 2020. In conjunction with the MacDill Air Force Base Wing, we have established a new protocol for safely addressing these requests as outlined below.

Screening

Prior to dispatching a technician or vendor, residents will be required to answer the following questions:

  1. Are you or another resident of the home currently sick or experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, and/or persistent pain or pressure in the chest?
  2. Are you or a family member residing in the home currently quarantined or in self-isolation?

If a resident answers yes to any of the screening questions, the service visit will not be completed with an in-person home visit.  Instead, we will work with the resident to resolve the issue remotely by dropping off supplies on the front porch, walking the resident through a repair over the phone or by video, and/or hiring a contractor to perform the work.

Home Entry Requirements

Technicians and vendors will be required to wear proper PPE including a face-covering, gloves, and shoe coverings during all service requests.

Residents who greet the technicians or vendors will be required to wear a face-covering and we ask that the initial greetings be limited to less than 10 minutes. Other residents in the home will not be required to wear a face-covering, but we ask that all residents remain in a closed-off area, away from the technicians and vendors until the service is completed. Residents may also leave the house during the service call in lieu of complying with the face-covering and social distancing requirements stated above. Residents also have the right to refuse the technicians or vendor entry to their home. In such instances, service requests will continue to be coded as “COVID-19,” and placed on hold.  Harbor Bay will work with our residents for future scheduling of those on hold tickets.

Please note there is currently a backlog of service requests due to COVID-19 regulations which may take up to an estimated 120 days to complete. Service requests will be prioritized by neighborhood, date of the original request, and type of service required.

Resident Events

In partnership with the installation, we have begun the process of developing new guidelines for resuming resident events and activities. In the meantime, we will continue to virtually connect with the community. Follow us on our social media platforms, such as Facebook and our Resident Portal, for contests, fitness classes, games, and other fun online activities for you to enjoy and compete in while remaining safe in your home!

Common Areas

At this time, in order to comply with the CDC, state and local guidelines, all of our common areas including but not limited to community centers, tennis and basketball courts, and pool are closed. We are following state and local mandates on these common areas.

Move-Ins and Move-Outs

For incoming residents, we are still processing applications and moving new residents in! Our Leasing Teams have modified the process to include virtual walk-through’s and maximizing other social distancing measures. Preview pictures and videos of our homes on our website.

For outgoing residents, though we hate to see you leave, we are still processing move-outs. Please contact your management office to fill out the necessary forms and to schedule a pre- and final move-out inspection. If your PCS is delayed, we are here to assist you. If you need to extend your move-out date, please contact your local management office to make those arrangements. A 30-day notice is required to vacate your home.
